I looked forward to the sessions every week. They brought a necessary calm and focus to the day’s activities.
I felt calmer for the rest of the day and my muscles felt less tense and hurt less.
Since I started learning Qigong with Christine two years ago, my life has profoundly, irrevocably altered. Qigong has helped reignite a mind-body connection that I feared had been forever lost in life’s unending wave of obligations, stress, and anxiety. Now I know how to ride the tide! Qigong, for me, combines the best aspects of yoga and meditation without the static poses or need for sitting. With Qigong, the constant motion is itself meditative! Working with Christine has been wonderful—her open, engaging, playful teaching style invigorates an ancient tradition and helps it feel modern and relevant to our ever-changing lives. Doing this deep work with her has opened up many new avenues for both reflection and action in my life. I am extremely grateful for it
The class is flexible and open and has something for people of all levels of experience, depths of intention, and participation, with or without the Dragon’s Way diet itself. After six weeks I began to be able to make small connections between what I had been learning cognitively and a non-cognitive state of mind. There is something for everyone, no matter where you are in life, just in the coming together under the umbrella of the Dragon’s Way. I know I can come back without shame or “shoulds” or false hopes, just to reconnect, when I’m ready.
What started out as way to lose weight turned into something much more. The Qigong movements really helped me to reconnect to my body, and the results were less pain in my back and neck, and a chronic hip issue just went away. I wasn’t expecting any physical effects other than weight loss and was stunned by how quickly I felt a difference. Christine is a beautiful and inspired teacher who shared her passion and really brought forth the life lessons involved in paying attention to our bodies. I would recommend this class to anyone wanting to lose weight, reduce stress, or just become more present in their body and life.
The Dragon’s Way gave me the exact tools I needed to manage emotional and physical stress and find balance, both inside my body and in my physical environment. Christine’s class and the support she offered in learning the Qigong movements allowed me to get more in touch with my body and emotions. I have, literally, never felt better!
This was the first program where I stayed relaxed and guilt-free the entire time. I truly experienced how ‘less is more.’ By just making very small changes in my diet and energy practice, I felt great results. I got rid of some excess pounds with great ease and developed more confidence in my ability to get rid of more. The energy exercises particularly brought me a lot of joy and peace. They’ve become an essential part of my day. Thank you, Christine, for being such an easy going and nurturing teacher! And thank you for sharing your positive, smiling energy with us.
It has given me, and therefore my relationship, a much better energy. I feel more Zen, comfortable, peaceful, and in control than I’ve ever been! It’s nice to finally have some tools for mitigating this stressful city—and life—we live in
